Info: SERD was closely connected with SANYO: its name comes from ‘Sanyo Elektronik-Rechner Deutschland’ — roughly ‘Sanyo Electronic Calculators Germany’
A useful primary source is the WIPO trademark register, which records SERD under Sanyo Elektronik-Rechner Deutschland GmbH & Co Vertriebs KG, at an address in Munich.
This establishes a direct commercial connection between the names.

SERD was the German sales and branding operation associated with SANYO’s calculators and office equipment.
Its calculator range included models named after German cities—Bremen, Bonn, Hannover, Stuttgart and others.
However, that does not establish that every SERD calculator was manufactured by SANYO itself.
